As the Director of Jamia Hamdard Kannur Campus, I am deeply honored to lead this institution and contribute to the vision of Jamia Hamdard, inspired by the remarkable legacy of its Founder-Chancellor, Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, Late Janab Hakeem Abdul Hameed Saheb. Jamia Hamdard Kannur Campus is an emerging centre of academic excellence, carrying forward the university’s rich tradition of quality education and research. From a visionary dream to a thriving institution, Jamia Hamdard has been a name of excellence in education and research. Recognized as a “Deemed to be University” in 1989 and inaugurated by Prime Minister Shri Rajeev Gandhi, it has set benchmarks in academics. The School of Pharmaceutical Education and Research at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi, has been ranked as India’s No.1 Pharmacy School, further solidifying its reputation for academic excellence and research innovation. Taking this legacy forward, Jamia Hamdard Kannur Campus was established in 2013 as the dream project of the late Shri E. Ahamed Sahib, former Union Minister and a proud son of Kannur. Driven by his unwavering commitment to education, he envisioned a world-class institution that would equip students with knowledge, skills, and opportunities to thrive. His dedication was particularly focused on uplifting the Muslim community in North Malabar, ensuring that quality education became a gateway to a brighter future.
